• Across the nation, Scholarship America's programs - including Plymouth Rotary Dollars for Scholars - have given out $2 Billion to nearly 2 million students across the nation since it founding 50 years ago.

  • The Plymouth Rotary Dollars for Scholars Chapter, a 501(C)3 entity, conducts the scholarship activities sponsored by the Rotary Club of Plymouth.  The Chapter is managed by a separate Board of Directors made up of Plymouth Rotarians, and its activities are funded by money raised by the Rotary Club during their annual fund raising events.  Funds are also raised from time to time from organizations and individuals outside of Rotary Membership.

  • Rotary International was originally formed in 1905 and is currently composed of 1.2 million Rotarians world-wide who serve in nearly 32,000 Rotary Clubs.  Rotarians follow a motto of "Service Above Self" and strive to promote high ethical standards in business and the professions, and to conduct projects to build goodwill and peace worldwide, promote literacy, clean water, health oriented projects, and, of course scholarships, among other things.  The Club works on local, state, national and international projects and in some cases collaborates with other Rotary Clubs.

The Plymouth Rotary Club was formed in 1974, and has been involved in granting academic scholarships for over 25 years.  Our affiliation with Scholarship America/Dollars for Scholars, may provide additional benefits for students who earn our scholarships, provided they attend  Dollars for Scholars affiliated colleges and universities.  Those benefits may vary from school to school.  We encourage our scholarship recipients to investigate those possibilities with the school you will be attending.

We would be happy to share a more complete picture of all the activities of Plymouth Rotary  Club.
